Do I need an electrician?
No — the illumicove power unit plugs directly into a standard GPO. You do not need a licensed electrician to connect the power.
What tools do I need?
A standard mitre saw, screwdriver, drill, tape measure and double-sided tape. No plastering or special tools required.
Can it replace my existing cornice?
Yes — illumicove is designed as a direct replacement for standard 90mm cove cornice profile.
How do I control the lights?
Standard light switch or Tuya smart app on iOS or Android. Optional RF remotes are also available if you prefer a physical controller.
Is it suitable for commercial use?
Absolutely. illumicove is ideal for hotels, apartment blocks and commercial fitouts. Trade enquiries and volume pricing are available.
What is the addressable LED upgrade?
The Premium Addressable SPI option allows individual sections to display different colours simultaneously — enabling rainbow effects and flowing patterns.
Does it work with smart home systems?
Yes — the Tuya WiFi controller is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Home for voice control.
